Dr. Shannon DeShazo, MD is a Family Medicine Specialist in McKinney, TX.

My Mission

I believe that you cannot be healthy alone. Your health is linked to the health of your family and community. That is why I like to spend time getting to know your story. The more I understand your context, the better I can equip you to live the healthiest life possible.

I also believe that your health is more than your physical well-being. Your emotional and mental health are equally important.

About Me

The best parts of my day are when I’m with my four wonderful children. If you have a late appointment, you may see a few of them helping me at work. My husband works in the IT industry, but also spends a lot of time assisting with the technical aspects of the office.

This is a traditional family business. We are active members of the Church of Christ on McDermott Road in Plano. I went to Harding University and then attended medical school at Texas A&M. My residency was in urban family medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. I am board certified in family medicine by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
